Chemical Peel FAQs
-
What's the downtime like after a peel?
Downtime varies depending on the strength of the peel. Our Refresh Peel has little to no downtime, while others may cause light flaking or peeling for a few days. You'll receive detailed aftercare instructions based on your treatment.
-
Can I book a peel on my first visit?
Absolutely! We'll start with a skin consultation to ensure it's the right fit for your skin. If you're a good candidate, we can proceed with the peel that day — or create a plan to prep your skin beforehand if needed.
-
Will my skin peel off?
Not always! Some peels create visible flaking, while others work below the surface without peeling. Visible exfoliation isn't required for a peel to be effective — your results will still show through smoother texture and glow.
-
Are peels safe for sensitive skin or darker skin tones?
Yes — we choose your peel based on your skin type, tone, and sensitivity level. We carry a range of formulations and adjust the strength and ingredients to suit your skin safely.
-
How often should I get a peel?
Most clients benefit from a series of 3–6 peels spaced 4–6 weeks apart, but frequency depends on your skin goals. We’ll build a customized plan for long-term results.
Microneedling FAQs
-
What does microneedling do for my skin?
Microneedling stimulates your skin’s natural healing process by creating controlled micro-injuries. This boosts collagen and elastin production, improving texture, fine lines, acne scars, and overall tone.
-
Does microneedling hurt?
We use a topical numbing cream before your treatment to keep you comfortable. Most clients describe it as a mild scratching or vibrating sensation. Slight redness or warmth afterward is normal and usually fades within 24–48 hours.
-
How much downtime should I expect?
Downtime is minimal! You may experience redness, tightness, or light flaking for 1–3 days post-treatment. Most clients return to normal activities the next day, with just some precautions on products and sun exposure.
-
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your goals. While some clients see a noticeable glow after one session, we often recommend a series of 3–6 treatments for concerns like acne scarring or deeper lines. We’ll create a custom plan during your visit.
-
Can I get microneedling if I have breakouts or sensitive skin?
We’ll always assess your skin first. Active breakouts or certain skin conditions may need to be treated or calmed before we move forward. We also adjust needle depth and technique to suit sensitive skin safely.
